8 Tips on how to deal with Social Events

Dieting is no reason to stay away from parties, lunches, dinners:

  • Eat a small snack before leaving home/office
  • Never ever mention or talk about ‘a Diet’! You are bound to get unwanted attention, lots of conflicting advice & uncalled-for comments
  • Choose smart, without being too obvious
  • Try to stick to the main course only
  • At a cocktail party: choose no more than 3-4 canapés
  • Moderate your alcohol intake
  • Do not feel guilty afterwards. Remember: nobody is perfect. The occasional treat will not upset your long-term achievement nor goal
  • The day after: continue your diet as prescribed! Don’t skip meals or snacks because you ate/drank too much the day before
